WI-FI IS LIFE

November 25 2016 – Delikate Rayne

The internet is something each and every one of us uses every day. Whether it’s on our phone, our laptop, our tablet, or even through our TV, we probably do not even realize how much we use it. With the invention of the internet and smart phones came social media. Social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and Facebook are used by millions and millions of people. For most of us, we grew up with the internet, and can’t imagine a life without it. Some of us didn’t have the internet growing up, but can’t even remember what it was like not having a cellphone.
While some people argue that the internet and social media is hindering our future generations, it is doing quite the opposite. We have technology at our fingertips- literally. This means we have all the information we could ever need right when we need it. Technology has linked and connected people from all over the world in ways that were once unimaginable.
Fashion itself has changed immensely since the technology boom. Open any social media app and you will be able to see the hottest fashion trends, from the red carpet to the runways and even the latest street style craze. What’s even crazier? You’re able to purchase whatever your heart desires within a few clicks. Many people have even made careers for themselves by being online fashion influencers and bloggers.
Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of technology, be thankful for it. Think of how much the fashion world has progressed and all the good that has come from it. If we’re lucky, technology will keep progressing, and one day we can live in a world where our online purchases will appear in our closets immediately.
