Summer time is here and with it exciting beauty looks are trending. Celebrities, models and beauty queens from all over the world are slowly packing away their matte lipstick collections and rainbow highlighters and welcoming new trends that seem to be all about sparkles. Whether it’s on your lips, eyes or cheeks – glitter, rhinestones, and all things that gleam will be the biggest hit of the season. Summer ‘17 is sure to be packed with endless shine and sparkle.

Makeup artist extraordinaire, Pat McGrath put this look on the map. This season, bold lips will keep dominating the fashion scene but now designers and makeup artists took it to another level. Namely, designers such as DKNY, Fendi, and Mary Katrantzou presented the lips heavily covered in glitter on their Spring/Summer runway shows. While Fendi made it chunky, DKNY gave it somewhat vamp vibe with a dark-coloured base, meaning that everything is fine as long as you keep it sparkly. This look is easy to pull off – all you need is a good base, a few dabs of high-glitter lipstick, and some loose glitter for texture. Pair these statement lips with a subtle line of eyeliner et voilà – you’ve got yourself a perfect day-to-night makeup.

We're casting our vote for glitter brows as the ultimate Summer beauty trend. Not only is it an eye-catching look, but it's quite durable, too. You can just swipe a bit ofblinged-out mascara onto your arches, spritz them with hair spray (really!), and call it a day. From subtle neutral shimmer to shameless rainbow sparkle, these glitter brows will definitely inspire you to shine this summer.

Eyeliner, eyeshadow or sparkling glitter – all of these can be worn on both your lower as well as upper lid, and it’s the perfect makeup look for everyone, but especially for those with small eyes. Taiwanese luxury fashion house, Shiatzy Chen, presented this look on their runway shows – their models wore silver glitter under their eyes, while the rest of the makeup was minimal. The outcome was so gorgeous and romantic. You can do something similar. To make it even more dramatic, you can add a coat of boldly colored eyeshadow underneath it and you’ll be ready to hit the dance floor.
